Shift: M-F 11:00am-7:30pm
Job Description: Performs a variety of patient-related and technical duties in support of operating room.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current North Carolina NA I certification and in good standing on the NC registry.
- Transports patients and assists with their transfer, positioning and/or restraining under the supervision of the professional staff.
- Proficient in basic clerical skills and use of basic office machines.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and keep records. Incumbent will be required to attain BLS certification within three months of employment.
- Incumbent will be required to demonstrate competency in the performance of duties specific to all age groups of patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer application skills and general knowledge of sterile technique/surgical supplies preferred.
Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred, or similar work environment. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of job within 3 months.
