Columbus Regional Healthcare System seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to handle incoming phone calls, evaluate patient needs, and communicate with providers regarding patient care.
The position requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a current license by the NC Board of Nursing, with no prior experience necessary, although experience in a medical office is preferred.

Job Description: Will provide appropriate screening, handling and routing of all incoming phone calls and ensure patient messages are taken appropriately with pertinent information via phone and/or EMR system. Will evaluate patient needs based on level of acuity; handle prescription refills; and provide timely communication with providers regarding patient care.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed by the NC (or compact state) Board of Nursing to practice as an LPN.

Preferred: Experience in a medical office.

Experience: No experience required. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
