About the role

The Manufacturing Technician supports engineering and production by assisting with the development, documentation, and implementation of manufacturing processes. This role works with SolidWorks and other technical tools to help translate engineering concepts into detailed drawings, assemblies, and production documentation. The Manufacturing Technician collaborates with sales, engineering, and production teams to maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), assist with work order structure within the ERP system, and support revision control. This position plays an important role in maintaining manufacturing data accuracy, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting overall production efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed manufacturing drawings based on sales and production configurations.
  • Export finalized drawings to the appropriate departments, personnel, or production equipment for execution.
  • Create and manage BOMs within the ERP system.
  • Build and release work orders.
  • Develop and update routing times for manufacturing processes.
  • Support major initiatives, including BOM cleanup, barge BOM development, and ERP data improvements.
  • Print, release, and process job documentation for the shop floor.
  • Assist with cycle count, quality data entry, and documentation management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Experience with assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
