Job Summary
- Perform cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility
- Sweep, mop, and clean work areas, equipment, aisles, storage areas, and other plant areas
- Empty garbage containers throughout the production area
- Move, compact, and bale cardboard and recyclable materials
- Operate a forklift to transport skids, crates, and materials to designated disposal areas
- Perform floor scrubber duties throughout the facility
- Power wash equipment and packaging materials as needed
- Properly discharge aerosol cans and recycle materials in accordance with ISO standards
- Demonstrate initiative and accountability while following company and ISO requirements
- Assist with miscellaneous facility support duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
- Occasional snow shoveling, snow blowing, and salting of sidewalks and entrances
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- One to three months of experience to become familiar with facility operations and job duties
- Ability to safely and proficiently use tools and equipment required for the position
- Basic oral, written, and listening communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk throughout the facility
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Must wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and plant operations
