About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, translating product designs into efficient production methods, and supporting continuous improvement across operations. This role utilizes SolidWorks and other engineering tools to create and refine 3D models, drawings, and assemblies while ensuring manufacturing feasibility. The Manufacturing Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, sales, and production teams to maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), support work order structure within the ERP system, and optimize production workflows. This position plays a critical role in maintaining manufacturing data accuracy, improving product quality, and enhancing overall production efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed manufacturing drawings based on sales and production configurations.
  • Export finalized drawings to the appropriate departments, personnel, or production equipment for execution.
  • Create and manage BOMs within the ERP system.
  • Build and release work orders.
  • Develop and update routing times for manufacturing processes.
  • Support major initiatives, including BOM cleanup, barge BOM development, and ERP data improvements.
  • Print, release, and process job documentation for the shop floor.
  • Assist with cycle count, quality data entry, and documentation management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Experience with assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
