About the role

The primary function of the Welder Fabricator is to build products to exact drawing specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency in all fabrication tasks.

What you'll do

  • Efficiently cut raw materials to specified lengths using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Utilize proper tools and materials for the fabrication of products.
  • Perform various levels of aluminum and steel welding and fabrication.
  • Repair broken components on pier sections and barges, ensuring integrity and safety.
  • Understand and follow production drawings accurately.
  • Work according to the production schedule and complete tasks within the allocated time frame.
  • Track and record hours spent on each job as directed.
  • Consistently produce accurate work, meeting quality standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Participate in problem resolution and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of welding experience, with a preference for experience in aluminum welding.
  • Basic carpentry skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
  • Proficiency in operating power tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
