We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with pediatric experience to support students within a respected school district in East Chicago, IN. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your occupational therapy skills and make a meaningful impact in the educational lives of students. Working under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, you will help students develop, improve, and maintain essential functional skills to succeed in the classroom and beyond. Responsibilities
• Support students in meeting individualized therapy goals as directed by the supervising occupational therapist
• Conduct classroom observations to assess how students manage educational tasks and routines
• Accurately track and report student progress to the supervising therapist
• Maintain timely, legible, and efficient documentation of all sessions and interventions
• Safely and effectively utilize therapeutic equipment and classroom resources
• Perform all responsibilities in a competent, compassionate, and student-centered manner

Requirements

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant COTA experience within the last 5 years
