Responsible for assisting the maintenance team with maintaining and fixing all the machines and equipment in the tempering department, learning the tempering process, and the proper functioning of all machines and equipment. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with inspections on all machinery and equipment to look for signs of misuse and to fix normal wear and tears before it becomes a larger issue that could affect production.
  2. Spends time shadowing Maintenance Associate II and III to acquire knowledge of all machinery and the tempering process including how to assist in equipment set-up, monitoring and adjusting equipment functions and trouble-shooting breakdowns and issues. 
  3. Ensure the working environment is clean and safe.
  1. All other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Ability to read a tape measure and identify written measurements. 
  2. Operates machinery including saws, drills, and power tools with precision.
  3. Strong attention to detail skills and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to work well with a team and under pressure.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in related industry preferred.
