JOB SUMMARY:
Create an entertainment environment for all guests. Provide courteous, friendly, and prompt Beverage service.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES--BARTENDER:
Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers (2-minute production cycle per 10 alcoholic beverages
- Work in an assigned area, such as a dining room or lounge, and pleasantly take beverage orders from guests
- Maintain a clean station at all times
- Able to answer questions about Harrah’s facilities and services
- Explain and encourage Caesars Rewards participation
- Provide fast, friendly service to guests
- Accept payment and give change when necessary
Present the check to the guest and acquire signatures when necessary
Prepare beverages as ordered
Build relationships with guests
Upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow Team Members
- Pick up trash, glasses, and litter in or out of the work area
Keep the bar area clean and the workstation stocked in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
Operate a cash register/POS system, ring the proper amount into the register, and give a guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
Follow the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Commission and/or the NC ABC Commission
Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 bartenders
Work at any station as business demands
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES--SUPERVISOR:
Ensure that all food and beverage products served meet the established specifications and standards
Continuously improve service by evaluating service breakdowns using guest feedback, data, and behavior
Communicate service breakdowns and facilitate opportunity-seeking meetings to consistently involve all Team Members in service improvements
Address service breakdowns and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
Resolve all guest complaints and relay to the manager
Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained
Assist with department reporting and data analysis as required
Responsible for the development and maintenance of department procedures and guidelines
Assist in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and menu items for maximum guest satisfaction
Prepare schedules and station breakdowns
Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate important information
Conduct end-of-shift banking functions
Assist cashiers with voids and overrides
Work with Finance and IT teams to ensure that all revenue is captured and reported in an accurate and relevant manner
Build relationships by greeting guests and staff with a warm, friendly verbal greeting and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude
Take personal responsibility for creating an atmosphere of luck and positive energy with gestures and sustain enthusiasm from one interaction to the next
Serve as a communication liaison to subordinates and the Restaurant Manager
Responsible for the timely delivery of comp requests from VIP services and other casino departments
Responsible for the complete set-up and operation of each scheduled shift
Complete end-of-shift logs in a timely and accurate manner
Develop highly skilled, successful Team Members, set realistic and measurable service standards, and hold Team Members accountable for meeting standards
Communicate and enforce company expectations, including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, department goals, and business strategy
Ensure service recovery activities
Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating the team and maintaining high morale
Enforce all appearance and uniform guidelines
Monitor bartenders and other Team Members with cash to ensure proper cash handling procedures
Conduct a physical inventory of barware and requisition replacement items as needed
Ensure all Team Members are following the guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Board
Monitor asset control of liquor bottles, draft, and bottled beer and wine
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED is required
Six months of customer service experience is preferred
RASP certification is required*
*Can be completed within 30 days of the hire date
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

- Must be able to complete cash and charge transactions

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations

Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds constantly
Must be able to be on feet for an 8-hour shift
Must have the ability to frequently reach above and below the shoulder, stand, and walk for up to four hours
Must be able to possess the manual dexterity to grip necessary items (glasses, pens, garnishments, money, etc.)
Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and twist when serving beverages
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
