POSITION TITLE:                            Van Driver

DIVISION:                                          Hotel

REPORTS TO:                                   Supervisor, Transportation

SUPERVISES:                                    N/A

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to safely operate a van between employee parking locations and the employee/guest entrance.  Provide transportation to passengers from off-site parking to the casino site. 

 

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive van on schedule

  • Deliver employees/guests to and from destinations in a safe and courteous manner

  • Respond to calls dispatched via two-way radio

  • Demonstrate high levels of Spotlight on Service skills on a consistent basis

  • Delight our guests with outstanding service

  • Monitor, maintain, and care for the shuttle van, including maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicles

  • Inspect the interior and exterior of the van at the beginning and end of every shift to ensure safe and spotless condition

  • Recommend servicing of the vehicle as necessary

  • Report any mechanical problems or other deterioration of the vehicle

  • Safely transport passengers, adhering to all rules/regulations/laws of the state of North Carolina

  • Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with guests 

  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values

                   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required

  • Six months of previous bus driving experience is preferred

  • Must be able to drive all types of passenger vehicles with automatic or manual transmission in a safe and timely manner

  • A valid driver’s license is required with no more than one (1) DUI conviction or three or more moving violations, three or more traffic citation convictions in the past 3 years (from date of conviction), or conviction for suspension or conviction for at-fault accident within the last 3 years required

  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

  • Must have excellent day and night distance vision

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

  • Ability to work independently

  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

  • Must be able to have exposure to outdoor weather situations

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
