Position SummaryÂ
The Clinical Outcomes & Data Abstractor is responsible for the accurate collection, abstraction, analysis, and submission of clinical and quality data to support regulatory reporting, registry participation, and organizational performance improvement initiatives. This role ensures data integrity, identifies opportunities for clinical quality improvement, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support data-driven decision-making and patient safety efforts.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Abstract, collect, validate, and submit clinical data from medical records in accordance with established definitions and protocolsÂ
Ensure timely and accurate data submission to internal databases and external registriesÂ
Monitor data integrity and meet audit requirementsÂ
Analyze data to identify trends, benchmark variances, and opportunities for improvementÂ
Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to support data-driven decision makingÂ
Participate in clinical and quality meetingsÂ
Maintain knowledge of evolving regulatory standards and reporting requirementsÂ
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reportsÂ
Support quality initiatives and process improvement effortsÂ
Work with vendors and registry support teamsÂ
Perform other duties as assignedÂ
Education & ExperienceÂ
High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
Graduate of an accredited healthcare program preferredÂ
Bachelor’s degree preferredÂ
Minimum one year experience in a healthcare or clinical settingÂ
Licensure & CertificationÂ
Licensed healthcare professional preferredÂ
Ability to obtain required registry certificationsÂ
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesÂ
Strong clinical data abstraction and chart review skillsÂ
Ability to analyze and interpret dataÂ
Knowledge of quality improvement principlesÂ
Strong communication skillsÂ
Attention to detailÂ
Basic statistical knowledge preferredÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeÂ
Experience with database systems preferredÂ
