About the Role

The Light Manufacturing Associate supports daily production operations by loading, stacking, packing, labeling, and preparing finished goods for shipment while ensuring product quality and efficient material flow. This role helps maintain safe and efficient operations by monitoring processes, restocking materials, and assisting with troubleshooting activities. The position may work independently or as part of a team to meet production, safety, and quality expectations.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

This position will begin as a contractor with the opportunity to transition to a permanent employee role based on performance and business needs. Permanent employees are eligible for company benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and holding others accountable
  • Identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
  • Load, stack, pack, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment
  • Monitor assigned areas and equipment to ensure continuous production
  • Restock raw materials and supplies to machines as needed
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles as required
  • Inspect products and processes to ensure quality standards are met and take corrective action when needed
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Communicate production issues and improvement opportunities to leadership
  • Participate in process teams and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete required paperwork, production documentation, and checklists accurately
  • Participate in training to develop skills and support cross-functional tasks
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience operating powered industrial vehicles or willingness to be trained

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to operate a computer or other keyboard instruments
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet production targets
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies

Schedule

  • Employees work three 13.33-hour shifts each week and receive four days off.
  • Overtime opportunities are available based on business needs.
