PARTS COUNTER SALESPERSON

Purpose of Position:  The Parts Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identify, procure, and invoice parts for heavy-duty trucks. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage parts orders efficiently to support the service department and retail sale

Supervises:  N/A

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet and assist customers at the parts counter, in person and by phone.
• Identify correct parts through online systems and manufacturer resources.
• Provide price quotes, availability, and lead times to customers and technicians.
• Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, accessories, and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Able to work through multiple transactions and/ or interactions simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Heavy Duty Truck parts
• Knowledge of Medium Duty Truck parts
• Basic computer usage and navigation knowledge.
• Able to speak precisely and clearly.
• Detailed orientated – verbal, written, and observational.
• Cash Handling and Balancing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Handling parts, tools, and materials regularly.

Preferred Education:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Experience:

• 3 to 6 months previous experience or relatable experience

• Clean MVR Record
