Job Description Summary:

Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe and efficient operation of plant equipment in area of training. 

• ​Compliance with all Evonik, state and federal regulations at all times. 

• ​Develop understanding of plant procedures, processes, and equipment in area of training.  

• ​Develop ability to identify issues with process equipment and process parameters in area of training. 

• ​Maintain accurate training documentation with instructor as new processes and procedures are learned. 

• ​Resolve issues with processes and equipment with support from more senior operation technicians. 

• ​Support maintenance department as needed to repair equipment and ensure reliable operation of plant assets. 

• ​Communicate Process and controls issues with area engineers and assist with data acquisition. 

• ​Assist technicians that are more senior and develop hands on knowledge of operating procedures and equipment. 

• ​Support basic safety process including maintaining compliance with any required training.​ 

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Good time management skills 

• ​Mechanical aptitude  

• ​Safety oriented 

• ​Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, from day and night
