About The Position

This opportunity begins on May 19, 2025, and spans 10 weeks with potential for extension. The position involves providing specialized wound care services to patients in their homes.

Job Details: 

Location: Kansas (home-based care) 

Facility Type: Home Health 

Start Date: May 19, 2025 

LOA: 10 weeks (1 day per week) 

Provider Type Needed: Physician Assistant specializing in Wound Care 

Schedule: Flexible, 1 day per week, approximately 1 hour per visit

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Travel to patients' homes once a week for wound care treatment 

• Perform initial assessments of wounds 

• Use amniotic membrane (AM) grafts as the primary treatment method 

• Place orders for synthetic skin or skin grafts as needed 

• Conduct wound debridement procedures 

• Apply and rewrap wounds appropriately 

• Utilize amniography techniques for wound treatment 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records 

• Collaborate with patients' primary care providers and other healthcare professionals

Additional Information: 

• Kansas medical license required for this position 

• Strong experience in advanced wound care techniques is essential 

• Comfort with home-based care and traveling to patients' residences 

• Proficiency in using amniotic membrane grafts and amniography 

• Experience with wound debridement and synthetic skin applications 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively 

• Excellent communication skills for patient education and care coordination
