CNC Router - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Cut a variety of materials or composite assemblies to specified shapes on a CNC router.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sets up and operates a computer numerical control router to cut parts and materials. Work from oral and written instructions, setup sheets and NC readouts. · Reviews setup sheet, secures stock to machine bed, and loads specified router and drill bits. · Observes machine operations for proper functioning. Uses minimal judgment to override feed and speed using manual data input to prevent broken tools and damaged material. · Removes excess material and parts when operations are complete. · Coordinate machine operation on both tool proving and production parts under guidance of others. May suggest basic changes on sequencing, feeds, and part layout. · Uses hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and measuring instruments such as scale and tape. · Responsible only for own work. · Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification. Blueprint reading. Textron Aviation Blueprint certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

· 6 + months of directly related fabrication experience.

Working Conditions:

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.
