Consumer Loan Maintenance Specialist

Role: Perform routine loan maintenance activities and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of member requests. Serve as a key support resource, helping streamline workflows and allowing loan officers to focus on loan origination and member relationship development while maintaining compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Responsible for assisting members with GAP insurance claims, Letters of Guarantee (LOG), maintaining and updating loan documentation and files, and handling a variety of administrative tasks related to the lending process.

Essential Functions:
Assist and support Indirect Loan Officers as needed to ensure service level standards are maintained. Complete CUDL Loan Officer maintenance requests: 
-GAP insurance claims
-LOG claims
-Member loan issues

Respond to in-bound Member calls and service events as needed.

Work closely with appropriate department to ensure member needs are met, including but not limited to ACH return list, CPI issues, and/or first payment defaults.

Support Loan Operations Manager with system enhancement initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Other Skills:
- Must have good communication skills and more importantly, excellent clerical and keyboard skills. 

- Advanced organizational skills to ensure file maintenance is accurate and compliant. 

- Must have strong Microsoft office knowledge with an emphasis on Excel.
