What You Can Expect Working in the Licensed Electrician Position聽


The 聽Licensed Electrician works under the direction of the Production Manager and 聽is responsible for the installation, repair, and testing of electrical systems 聽during the production of blast-resistant buildings and other industrial 聽buildings. As a Licensed Electrician, you are integral in 聽supporting RedGuard鈥檚 goal of delivering customers a quality product on time. You may have the opportunity to work in other stages of the 聽manufacturing process, as assigned.


Responsibilities聽

路 Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains 聽electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or 聽fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.

路 Inspects electrical systems, equipment, or 聽components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, 聽and to ensure compliance with codes.

路 Plans, layouts and installs electrical wiring, 聽equipment, fixtures, or systems based on job specifications, blueprints, and 聽local codes and AHJ.

路 Reviews production orders or schedules to 聽ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of 聽products and scheduled delivery dates.

路 Reviews and/or resolves manufacturing problems 聽to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

路 Inspects machines and equipment to ensure 聽specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

路 Maintains current electrician's license or 聽identification card to meet governmental regulations.

路 Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills 聽in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.聽

路 Follows established safety and security rules 聽and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.

Minimum Qualifications


路 Valid electricians 聽license.

路 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical 聽experience.

路 In-depth Knowledge of Electrical systems 12V, 聽24V, 120/208V, 277/480V.

路 Knowledge of single and three-phase systems.聽

路 Understanding of data and fire alarm systems.

路 Ability to read complex blueprints or technical 聽drawings.

路 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

路 Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

路 Basic computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications

路 Master electrical license.


Work Environment

路 Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduit.

路 Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.聽

路 Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.聽

路 Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.聽

路 Must have full use of both hands and arms to perform tasks requiring coordination, strength, and fine motor skills. This includes handling tools or equipment, lifting or carrying materials, operating machinery, and performing repetitive or precise movements with both hands simultaneously.聽
