Role: Process, manage, and file vehicle documentation to secure CUA's lien. Post payoff checks and refunds, issue lien releases, and manage the tracking records for all the loan operations. Understand and be able to communicate all aspects of the title process, claims, and insurance as it pertains to consumer loans to benefit our members and the credit union.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Process daily filing reports expediently (within same business day) and accurately to secure CUA’s lien. Keep the clean-up reports and title drawer current. Post checks and release liens accurately within the required timeframe. Stay current on any changes with the Kansas title laws, be knowledgeable on the process of getting CUA’s lien secured on all collateral in or out of state. Look for ways to improve title process and be open to learning new processes. Input and track information using appropriate databases with a goal of keeping CUA’s unsecured loan portfolio at or below 2%.
  • Process and track TruStage claims, reports, cancellations and correspondence. Be knowledgeable and able to handle CPI reports, postings, and loan corrections. Act as the mediator for CUA employees and members for both CPI and TruStage related inquiries.
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of other processes that pertain to consumer loans to benefit our members and the credit union. This includes, but is not limited to Route 66, Skip pays, Eltropy/Glia, and loan funding. Stay current on any changes with the Kansas title laws. Be knowledgeable on the process of getting CUA’s lien secured on all collateral in or out of state. Always look for ways to improve and be open to learning new processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  • Other Skills: Must have good communication skills and more importantly, excellent clerical and keyboard skills. Advanced organizational skills to ensure file maintenance is accurate and compliant. Must have strong Microsoft office knowledge with an emphasis on Excel.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
