Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Wichita Warehouse - Wichita, KS 67226 OPEN ROAD BRANDS BEST OF AMERICANA & POP CULTURE JOB DESCRIPTION Warehouse Material Handler   Location:  Wichita, Kansas Department:  Warehouse Reports To:  Warehouse Leads and Warehouse Supervisor FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt (Hourly) Employment Type:  Full-Time Compensation:  $16.00–$20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience; overtime-eligible Requisition:  ORB-HR-REQ-100 POSITION SUMMARY The Warehouse Material Handler receives, stores, moves, and distributes materials, products, and inventory within the warehouse. This position supports accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and a safe, organized work environment while following company policies and safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Load, unload, sort, and stage materials using manual equipment or powered industrial trucks. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Move materials to designated storage locations while maintaining inventory accuracy. Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures. Accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or equipment issues to supervisors. Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred but not required. Forklift certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, with a strong work ethic and attendance record. Preferred Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of inventory control procedures. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance. The role requires safely operating warehouse equipment for extended periods. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
