Summary: 

Performs essential job functions related under limited supervision. Required to assist Quality Manager and meet customer requirements.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

· Analyzes all submitted documentation prior to shipment of customer parts to verify 100% compliance to customer requirements.

· Accurately prepares and completes certification packages prior to shipment and correct certifications as needed.

· Maintains quality system database, with a good understanding of ISO 9000/AS9100.

· Performs internal audits as directed by the quality manager.

· Assists Quality Manager as needed or required while performing other tasks as assigned or dictated by the position.

· Brings any irregularities, discrepancies or concerns to supervisor immediately.

· Conduct root cause, corrective action discussions, and provide follow up verifications for effectiveness.

· Coordinates laboratory activities, including equipment calibrations and outside laboratory testing for tensile, mechanical, and other required testing.

· Reviews laboratory test reports and results for accuracy and compliance with applicable customer and specification requirements and communicates any discrepancies or concerns to the Quality Manager.

· Maintains required calibration and laboratory testing records in accordance with the company quality system.

· Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.

· This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.

· Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.

· Education – High school diploma or equivalent experience.

· Minimum six months working experience in thermal processing, metallurgy, customer specifications, etc.

· Blueprint reading preferred.

· Two years preferred in quality organization in industries such as heat treating, manufacturing, metallurgy, aerospace and/or military specifications by education or experience.

· Knowledge of basic laboratory testing, calibration requirements, and quality inspection practices preferred.

· Ability to review and interpret test results, certifications, and customer specifications for accuracy and compliance.

· Must possess strong verbal communication skills, professional and patient style in dealing with customers and staff.

· Must be precise and detail oriented.

· May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends

· Must have knowledge by experience or training of basic math.

· Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.

· Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.

· Must be able to work in a sitting and/or standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.

· Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.

· Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.

· Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

· May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.

· Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.

· Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

· Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.

· Ability to hear in person and via phone.
