PROtect, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, project accounting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations.

Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements and reporting packages.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition

Lead project accounting activities for assigned divisions.

Manage monthly revenue recognition processes.

Coordinate time-and-material and fixed-price project billings.

Support sales and use tax reporting requirements.

Prepare monthly financial reports for operational leadership.
Accounts Receivable & Payable

Review and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely.

Assist with collections and account reconciliations as needed.
Process Improvement & Business Support

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Develop reporting and performance metrics that support business decisions.

Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting systems and assist with employee training.

Support annual audits, tax preparation activities, and special projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

2+ years of accounting or finance experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional analytical and business math skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Public accounting experience.
