Lenexa, KS | Hospitalist APP Locum Tenens Opportunity | Brand-New Acute Care Facility
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a highly skilled and confident Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the hospitalist team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art acute care hospital in Lenexa, Kansas.
This is a unique opportunity to practice at a newly constructed, modern facility where advanced technology meets compassionate care. You'll join a collaborative Hospitalist program focused on delivering quality outcomes in a high-support environment.
Opportunity Details
Location: Lenexa, KS
Facility Type: Brand-new Acute Care Hospital
Contract Type: Hospitalist APP Locum Tenens
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 1:00 AM | 6-hour shifts
Coverage Model:
MD: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (1 Physician)
APP: Night coverage only (supervision provided remotely)
Setting:
36-Bed Med/Surg Hospital (Expanding to 100 beds)
8-Bed Open ICU
Census:
Average Day: 17.3 patients
Night: 17–22 patients
5 daily admits
Responsibilities
Admissions and cross-coverage during night shifts
Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue events (Hospitalist-led)
APP supervision structure in place with remote nocturnist team
No procedures required
Full interdisciplinary support and specialty access
Credentialing & Onboarding
EMR: Epic
Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days
Training: Online EMR modules (ALN) + onsite personalization session
Candidate Requirements
Licensure: Active Kansas license and unrestricted DEA
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (ACLS required for night APP)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospitalist APP experience
Specialty: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained APPs accepted
