Job DetailsJob Location: MBH Willow House Program - Wickenburg, AZ 85390Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Health CareAs the Dietetic Technician you will assist Registered Dietitians in providing Medical Nutrition Therapy. Continuously monitor each patients nutrition care plan. Serve as part of the patient care team and communicates accurate and timely nutrition information. Provide nutrition education as required to patients. Essential Duties Include: Nutrition Assessment & Patient Care Review initial patient nutrition assessment and review meal plan, tube feeding and/or supplements orders. Maintain accurate database of patients nutrition information, weights, etc. and communicate information with the patient care team. Communicate with Kitchen Services team re: patient meal plans, allergies, etc. Keep track of patient refusals and weight restoration graphs. Patient, Family, and Staff Education Prepare materials and educate patients, as required per program schedule and documenting per facility protocol. Represent the Company as requested to educate the family members and professionals. Menu & Meal Plan Review and monitor patient menus, diet orders and tube feeding/ supplements on an ongoing basis. Communicate any concerns with Supervisor and RD. Customer Interaction Interact with patients, family members, internal staff, outpatient providers and other external entities professionally and respectfully, supporting the Companys mission. Other Ability to interact and communicate professionally and appropriately. Ability to effectively respond to customer requests; ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clinically accurate and professional manner; ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to write professional copy for memorandums, reports, policies and procedures; ability to compile information into professional format for presentations and reports. QualificationsEducation and Experience: High School graduate or equivalency Arizona Food Handlers Card or obtain within 30 days of hire. Manager certification preferred. CPI, CPR and First Aid Certified. Valid state drivers license At least 2 years experience with food services in an inpatient hospital or behavioral health setting with emphasis on clinical and tray-line responsibilities preferred. #MP
