Registered Nurse (RN) – Ventilator Unit
Wickliffe Country Place is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to care for residents requiring ventilator and complex respiratory support. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional post-acute and long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents requiring ventilator, tracheostomy, and respiratory support.
- Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions and changes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Respond appropriately to respiratory emergencies and changes in resident status.
- Supervise LPNs and STNAs/CNAs as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Ventilator, trach, or critical care experience preferred.
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, or step-down unit experience a plus.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
