Full-Time | Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Pay Rate: $26.44 Hourly

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The YAB Advisor is responsible for developing, facilitating, and overseeing educational and cultural leadership programs for Choctaw Nation youth. This role serves as a key point of contact for youth engagement, coordinates community-based service opportunities, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to promote personal growth, civic responsibility, and cultural awareness.

Primary Tasks:

1. Serve as a mentor and role model for youth, promoting servant leadership and life skills through structured program delivery.

2. Coordinate and lead engaging activities that reinforce core values, teamwork, cultural identity, communication, and community service.

3. Advocate for youth and connect them to support services when challenges arise, including referrals to internal or external resources.

4. Screen and organize volunteer and educational opportunities to ensure safety, impact, and relevance for participating youth.

5. Facilitate monthly student-led meetings using Robert鈥檚 Rules of Order and guide the development of community action projects.

6. Collaborate with schools, coalitions, service organizations, and Choctaw Nation departments to plan and execute meaningful service initiatives.

7. Maintain accurate records of service hours, participation, and initiative outcomes, and submit timely reports as required.

8. Coordinate outreach efforts with schools and CNO programs to recruit new participants and expand program visibility.

9. Assist with event logistics, planning, and execution, ensuring alignment with program goals and budget guidelines.

10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

路 Associate鈥檚 degree in education, behavioral sciences, or related field or;

路 An equivalent combination of education and experience

路 Experience leading group activities, coordinating service events, or mentoring youth

路 Strong collaboration and communication skills

路 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

路 Two (2) years of directly related experience
