  The Contracts Manager monitors, tracks, evaluates and reports on the performance of partner agencies, state and service provider contracts within KCI and funding agencies or partners guidelines. Assists in negotiating and renegotiating contracts.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluates contracted partner agency and service delivery provider performance to determine the extent which targets are being met and service quality is being achieved
  • Analyzes contracts for cost effectiveness and provides reviews or develops modification agreements with partner agencies and service providers as appropriate, while ensuring adequacy of revenue and impact on financial statements
  • Monitors and reviews partner agency and provider progress and recommends approval or withholding of interim and final payments.
  • Analyzes statistics and other data to provide recommendations and trends concerning lead and partner agencies and service providers, as well as overall KCI project progress
  • Ensures relevant KCI departments are notified when problems are identified
  • Maintain integrity of Contract database with updates
  • May negotiate group home contracts
  • Provides partner agency staff and contracted service providers with technical assistance
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Business Administration) or related from accredited institution and two years experience in business or child welfare

Licensure/Certifications

  • Current Background Clearance Screening Letter
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and insurable by agency’s current insurance carrier

WORK ENVIROMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filling cabinets.  This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required.   This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
