Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries for accounts, including general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to validate individual transactions before settlement.
- Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of various bank accounts.
- Perform daily preparation of cash sheets and bank deposits.
- Conduct monthly reviews and audits of various accounts receivable, notes payable, liability accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Perform daily audit and review of inventory process, transactions, and inventory reports.
- Perform monthly Cost of Sales (COS) calculations for the inventory system.
- Conduct a monthly review of escrow accounts.
- Oversee and process escrow transactions on a daily basis.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews and reconciliations of Escrow and Pool Buying Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for The Villages Insurance.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for small companies.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for La Reina Del Mar, LDC.
- Attend monthly accounting staff meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associateās degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school; or three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger is required.
- Experience in analyzing accounting data is required.
- Ability to meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work on confidential matters is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
