KJ Consulting & Environmental Services, LLC has an immediate need for a Transportation Construction Inspector near Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Responsibilities may include:
- Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work
- Testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
- Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
- Review of construction schedules
- Follow PennDOT documentation procedures
- Recommends changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
- Maintain project records, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma. Five or more years experience in construction inspection of highway or bridges preferred.
The following Certifications are preferred but not required:
- NICET transportation - Highway Construction Level I or higher
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Certification
- NECEPT Asphalt Field Technician certification
- NECEPT Concrete Field Testing Technician certification
