JOB LOCATION - Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Days & Nights available

Position Purpose

The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse/Graduate Practical Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Medical Surgical Licensed Nurse/Practical Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Positions Qualifications:

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

• Clinical expertise, teaching/instructing, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgement

• Ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care

Licenses/Certificates:

• Current PA Practice Permit/Practical Nurse license

• BLS required must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period
