Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Interflex Converting Wilkesboro - Wilkesboro, NC 28697Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeSalary Range: $18.05 - $32.37 HourlyJob Shift: NightJob Category: ManufacturingRepairs and maintains, in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using appropriate tools. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Starts devices to test their performance. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lubricates and cleans parts. May initiate purchase orders for parts. Performs other work related duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong math skills for accurate measurements. Good written, verbal and interpersonal skill required Ability to lift forty (40) pounds un-assisted. Electrical and PC based controls/understanding electrical systematic Electronics and troubleshooting EXPERIENCE: Associates of Art Degree in Mechanical Engineering or: Three years experience repairing and servicing a variety of machinery. Employee Training Required: Basic Safety Forklift Operation and Safety QC Training: New Parts Purchased Use of Common Hand and Power Tools; Hammers, Wrenches, Drills and Saws. Etc… Use of Lifting devices such as Hoists and Power Jacks Lubrication of Machinery (Location of Key Points) Reading instructional Diagrams Communication Skills: Written and Verbal Microsoft Word and Excel The Interflex Work Order Procedure
