Duties & Responsibilities 

As a Tasting Room/Retail Associate, you’ll be a key part of our guest experience, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and informed. Your day may include:

• Greeting guests warmly and providing knowledgeable, engaging wine tastings

• Sharing the story of our winery, vineyards, and wine portfolio

• Conducting sales transactions using our POS system, including applying discounts, upselling, and packaging purchases with care

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting tasting environment — including glassware, counters, floors, and restrooms

• Restocking and organizing wine and merchandise displays

• Assisting with phone inquiries and guest reservations

• Supporting special events and winery activities as needed

Qualifications

• Positive, professional, and welcoming attitude 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Eagerness to learn about wine, hospitality, and The Williamsburg Winery’s history and products

• Open availability, including weekends and holidays (required)

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or retail preferred but not required

• Ability to lift up to 31 lbs (a case of wine) and stand for long periods
