The Neuroscience Program at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a 1 year, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Neuroscience, an instructional position that will begin August 10, 2026.We seek an individual with expertise and enthusiasm for teaching the introductory course, Exploring Neuroscience: Molecules, Cells and Synapses, each semester in addition to other neuroscience courses in their area of expertise. We are particularly interested in courses that emphasize cellular, molecular, or quantitative approaches in Neuroscience. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a [3-3] teaching load.

Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or ABD in Neuroscience, Biology or closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins (August 10, 2026).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching or mentoring undergraduates.
Conditions of Employment:
This position may require additional hours beyond the typical work week, including occasional overnight and weekend work as needed to meet the business needs of the operation.
