New River Community and Technical College is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Registered Nurse Educator to join our associate degree Nursing (ADN) Program. What You’ll Do
Inspire & Educate
- Deliver engaging instruction in classroom, clinical, skills lab, and simulation settings
- Facilitate meaningful pre- and post-clinical conferences
- Use innovative teaching strategies and instructional technology to enhance learning
- Create organized, outcome-driven lesson plans aligned with course objectives
Mentor & Support Students
- Provide timely, constructive feedback that promotes growth
- Evaluate student performance and identify opportunities for remediation
- Counsel and guide students throughout their academic journey
- Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate & Lead
- Work closely with fellow nursing faculty and the Director of the ADN Program
- Participate in curriculum development and student learning outcomes assessment
- Serve as a liaison to healthcare partners and professional organizations
- Contribute to admissions, advisory meetings, and program initiatives

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
- Minimum (10) years direct patient care experience in nursing
- Two (2) or more years of teaching or equivalent experience
- Experience teaching nursing theory and/or clinical skills
Education
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Nursing Education (MNEd)
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) with enrollment in a graduate nursing program within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications
- Community college teaching experience
- Concept-based curriculum experience
- Simulation and advanced instructional technology experience
- Online or web-based course development experience
- Curriculum design and assessment experience
