CEL is an Irish based 40-year manufacturer, distributor and exporter of electrical switchgear and controls, and

related products and services, now focused on the supplying the global Data Centre industry.

Operating from our newly acquired 400,000ft2 facility in Williamsburg, Virginia, we aim to double in size each year

for the next three years.

About The Role:

Reporting to our Production Supervisor, we are seeking Team Leaders who are responsible for providing effective

‘on-the-ground’ leadership to all production staff, ensuring that output targets, product quality, and safety

standards are consistently achieved. This role involves supervising General Assembly Operators, coordinating

workflow and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing of low-voltage products. The successful

candidate will be passionate about what they do, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be ready to develop and

grow their skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

Production Management:

ï‚· Manage the end-to-end construction of panels up to and including customer FAT and shipping.

ï‚· Co-ordinate build schedules and designate resources as agreed with the Production Manager.

ï‚· Identify issues which have the potential to delay critical milestones and suggest improvements.

ï‚· Ensure production updates are completed accurately and report as required.

ï‚· Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate them to the team.

 Ensure all project hours are recorded, verify Target V’s Actual and identify discrepancies between both.

ï‚· Plan and organise overtime to meet planned capacity as required and authorised by Production Manager.

ï‚· Coordinate with planning and materials teams to ensure component availability.

Quality Assurance:

ï‚· Measure and maintain a high-quality standard throughout the full production process.

ï‚· Maintain customer product quality, reporting any defects immediately to the Production and QA Manager.

 Identify quality risks, working with peers to implement corrective actions through CEL’s NCR process.

ï‚· Promote a right-first-time culture across all projects and customers.

Team Leadership:

ï‚· Participate in the interview program for new employees.

ï‚· Assist in the development of new employee training plans.

ï‚· Assist in the creation and updating of work instructions.

ï‚· Ensure training of new / existing staff is ongoing and verified as competent.

ï‚· Monitor and mentor new employees.

ï‚· Ensure compliance in employees time, attendance and annual leave escalating as required.

Safety & Compliance:

ï‚· Ensure all Health and Safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe work practices.

ï‚· Ensure all personnel working on or visiting the production floor adhere to CEL policies / procedures.

ï‚· Where repeated breaches of H&S policies occur, escalate to the Production Manager.

ï‚· Participate in H&S accident and incident investigations.

ï‚· Verify safe use of equipment and highlight any issues / defects to the Production Manager.

ï‚· Maintain the production environment in an audit ready state.

ï‚· Maintain compliance with ISO standards and company procedures.

What You’ll Need:

ï‚· Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.

ï‚· +3 years in low-voltage assembly or similar manufacturing environment.

ï‚· Previous supervisory or team leader experience required.

ï‚· Strong understanding of mechanical / electrical assembly processes.

ï‚· Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

ï‚· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

ï‚· Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.

ï‚· Results-driven with a focus on quality and efficiency.

ï‚· Strong organizational and planning ability.

ï‚· Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
