Under general supervision, receives product into the warehouse storage area and prepares product or materials for shipment per order specifications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Â
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near warehouse, plant, or work site.
- Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks and shelves by hand or fork lift.
- Receives, unpacks, and examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments
against bills of lading, invoices, and other records.
- Notifies supervisor of any major incidents of damage to materials received or scheduled to be shipped.
- Prepares and/or maintains warehouse/shipping documents.
- Coordinate/Schedule the routine work of warehouse support staff.
- Prepares identifying information and shipping instructions on containers.
- May assist in contacting transportation companies to order or schedule deliveries and shipments.
- Maintains a computerized inventory of received/shipped goods to provide status reports to management, sales, suppliers or customers as required.
- Prepares and disperses cycle counts required for warehouse team then enters the counts.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Â
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.

- Routes incoming goods to departments using a forklift or hand truck.
- Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, etc., and places in proper containers or areas.
- Sweeps and cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.
- Other duties and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
Â
- Requires frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 1200 pounds on a skid with pallet jack.
- Manual dexterity required to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination, and the utilization of color vision.
- Must wear safety shoes constantly.
- Regular attendance and the willingness to work overtime as needed.

- 3-4 years related experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and forklift/power truck certification; clamp truck experience is a plus.
- Requires thorough knowledge of the shipping/receiving function and warehouse operations.
- Requires data entry, math, computer and good written and verbal communication skills.

- Maintains forklift certification compliance
