Overview
The Graphic Designer develops visual designs to support a variety of projects for Penn College, including publications, advertisements, digital graphics, and promotional materials. This role works within established brand standards to create clear and engaging materials. This position collaborates with members of the creative, marketing, and communications teams to prepare and deliver high-quality, approved assets for print and digital distribution, working under established processes and creative direction and within project timelines.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Associate's Degree in Advertising Art or related discipline. Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising Art, Graphic Design or related discipline. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) year's of relevant work experience. Required
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Ability to understand project objectives and recognize how assigned work supports departmental and College goals. Required
- Ability to organize visual and written content for clarity and readability. Required
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on assigned design tasks. Required
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud design tools, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Required
- Skill in developing original visual designs while adhering to established brand guidelines. Required
- Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously and to meet production deadlines, often requiring very quick turnaround. Required
- Must understand design, typography, paper and color selection, and technical aspects of the publishing process including printing/finishing capabilities. Required
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a collaborative and creative development team. Required
- Ability to effectively proofread materials to ensure accuracy. Required
Responsibilities
Physical Standards and Special Job Features
- Limited exposure to chemicals and other substances related to the graphics and printing process.
- Exposure to computer monitors and other conditions related to using computers over extended periods of time. Active office environment.
- Constant deadline pressures.
Pay Transparency
Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the hourly range is $24.91 - $28.85.College Statement
