About Our Opportunity 

We are seeking safety minded team members with an attention to detail for an entry level Plate Former Operator opportunity in Montoursville, PA for 2nd shift (3P-11P). The Plate Former Operator position supports the business through machine operation and ensuring the plate press produced product which meets all quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the roll of plate stock for forming.
• Preparing the plate press for operation by making sure all components are available, and setting up the machine according to specification. 
• Monitoring and troubleshooting the production of the plate press to maintain consistent output.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting all ancillary equipment associated with production of a paper plate including text wrap, heat shrink tunnel and label machines.
• Perform all duties while adhering to all safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications 

• Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to push / pull 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred - Not required.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
