Position:Â Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant
Location:Â 1705 Warren Avenue
Schedule:Â Days/Early Evenings, Monday through Friday
Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a difference in an outpatient facility? UPMC Rehabilitation Institute – Costello Center is seeking a passionate and skilled PTA to join our dynamic team. If you have previous experience in an outpatient setting, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Exceptional Care:Â Deliver physical therapy treatments in accordance with the plan of care established by the physical therapist. Recommend changes based on patient condition and response to treatment.
- Maintain Order:Â Keep work areas neat and orderly, and direct therapy volunteers.
- Clerical Duties:Â Perform necessary clerical responsibilities as required by the facility.
- Patient Transport:Â Safely and professionally transport patients using prescribed transport vehicles.

- Clinical Excellence:Â Implement treatment programs that reflect current scientific and clinical knowledge to achieve established outcomes/goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous PTA experience in an outpatient facility is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to implement treatment programs effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association with an associates degree as a physical therapist assistant.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Physical Therapist Assistant OR Physical Therapist Assistant Indirect Supervision
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
