Job DetailsJob Location: Ark Encounter - Williamstown, KY 41097Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Site DevelopmentThe Facilities Maintenance Technician is a trained person who specializes in fixing and maintaining machines, equipment, and general office appliances. He is versatile in several areas and executes many tasks in a day. The job of a Maintenance Technician requires both indoor and outdoor activities including places such as restrooms, kitchens, and offices throughout the property. He/she carries out a wide range of duties as directed by the facilities manager: these include maintenance on buildings, carpentry, painting, general repair, pest control and landscaping amongst others. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. They must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important, and they must work independently with little or no supervision. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done. Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset. Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments. Carry out all duties that are necessary in resolving reactionary activities, and report the need for further maintenance and safety to supervising staff Ensure the proper use of all tools in the workshop for cutting, bending and welding of equipment. Carry out detailed evaluations of workshop equipment to ensure that they are good condition for proper functioning. Assist other workers in different phases of building, construction and general maintenance and review works performed by them to ensure that they are in good condition. Carryout repairs on ceilings, floors and walls by combining plaster of spackle and painting. Take out damaged sheets and replace them with sheet rock and finishing seams. Inspect equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners from time to time for proper cleaning, speed, temperature and adequate lubrication. Ensure proper repair and finishing of doors, desks, tables, chairs and other furniture in the organization to ensure comfort of staff and visitors. Repair and change locks in the building and perform complex lock servicing to ensure maximum safety of all people. Perform the installation and repairs of fire and emergency alarms and other appliances that are used to call out for help in cases of emergency. And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. QualificationsRequirements Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith. Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church. Commitment to Christ and AiG mission. Able to work independently. Self-motivated with the ability to lead in a variety of settings. Must be able to work under pressure and around people at times. Work well with others, regularly work with a partner, but also themselves at times, and able to finish jobs in a timely manner. Able to lift 80-lbs or more and required to bend, twist, stoop, push, pull and stand for extended periods of time. Able to climb ladders, without fear of heights, crawl in small locations and work in awkward positions. Able to use basic tools and identification of hand tools. Have basic skills with computers, preferred experience with building management systems. Available to work any combination of days and shifts during park operations, including Saturdays and Sundays, along with being able to be called in after hours with an emergency.
