Job Description Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing non-invasive diagnostic procedures in the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to detect, localize and quantify pathologies of the heart; analyzes test data; assists Cardiologists in performance of Transesophageal Echocardiography, Cardiac Stress Testing, Elective Cardioversions, and Tilt Table Studies; discusses test protocols and interpretation with physician; coordinates with other departments and providers to provide optimum patient care; adapts established protocols as needed under direction of Cardiologist; assists in training technologists, nurses and Cardiac Sonography students in non-invasive testing techniques; organizes and presents in-services relating to non-invasive testing to nursing, medical staff, and other hospital associates; provides for outstanding service to customers both external and internal, acts as an ambassador and advocate for the Cardiac Noninvasive Imaging Lab to external and internal contacts.Responsibilities And Duties:
30% Assessment/DiagnosisPerforms initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
30% Outcomes Identification/Planning
Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
20% Implementation/Evaluation
Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
10% Leadership
- Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
10% Operations
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties. Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates of Applied Science Degree in Nursing.
Registered Nurse with current valid Ohio license.
BLS Certification.
ACLS Certification

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree. Knowledge of research methodology and teaching skills. One years’ experience in Critical Care and/or two years’ experience in Cardiology.
