Job DetailsJob Location: Ark Encounter - Williamstown, KY 41097Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Site DevelopmentThe role of the Site Development Technician (SDT) is to support the construction, installation and fabrication of new projects for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. They must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important, and they must work independently with little or no supervision. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development. Responsibilities Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis. Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done. Approach all tasks with a second-mile mindset. Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments. Assist with all new projects from start to finish. Equipment maintenance. Maintain project site in a safe, clean, organized and orderly manner. Operate a variety of hand tools. Operate small equipment. Work with a variety of materials such as metal, wood, concrete, plastics and stone. Install irrigation, drain tile, stone walls, pavers, water features, Christmas lights and outdoor landscape lights. Tree removal. Assist Grounds Maintenance and Greenhouse Operations as needed. And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. QualificationsREQUIREMENTS Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith. Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Regularly attend a local, Bible-believing church. Able to work well under pressure, determine priorities and produce results. Valid driver’s license This position requires lifting 50-80 pound objects, frequent bending, walking and standing. The person must be able to perform heavy manual labor and deal with exposure to a variety of weather conditions. The person must safely and effectively utilize chemicals which may present health hazards if not handled properly. They must have the ability to safely utilize dangerous power and hand equipment including heavy excavation equipment. Education & Experience Any combination of education or job related experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform tasks is preferred.
