Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist provides Physical Therapy services to inpatients and outpatients of the hospital and associated units and sites. The primary role of the Physical Therapist is to reduce pain, improve mobility and safety, and improve overall functional outcomes. They also train staff and students, supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy technicians, volunteers and students, and participate in performance improvement programs.

Job Description:

We're looking for a dedicated physical therapist to evaluate clients, develop personalized treatment plans, and ensure they’re effectively implemented. You’ll supervise and support ancillary staff, document progress accurately, and communicate any concerns to supervisors. Your role includes providing hands-on therapy, educating patients and their families, creating home exercise programs, and offering discharge recommendations. If you're working in Hand Therapy, you'll collaborate closely with a Certified Hand Therapist, whether PT or OT, to deliver expert care. You'll also participate in quality improvement initiatives, attend team meetings, and help develop treatment protocols. Maintaining professionalism, following ethical guidelines, and promoting our services are key parts of this role. Qualifications:

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

BS, MS, or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state where work is being performed

Commitment to seek CHT certification once having met the requirements for the exam, if the PT is working in the Hand Therapy department.

Specialized Knowledge: 

Knowledge of assessment techniques and anticipated outcomes

Good interpersonal, communication, and time management skills

Kind and Length of Experience: 

New graduates or experienced therapist

FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt
