Director of Clinical Services

$90,000–$105,000 annually | Full-Time | Monday–Friday

The Arc Erie County New York is looking for an accomplished Director of Clinical Services to lead clinical operations across a diverse organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This highly visible leadership role provides oversight of OPWDD Nursing services supporting all 25 of our Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs) and three site-based Day Habilitation programs, as well as clinical services within our Education programs and oversight of our Article 16 Clinic.

The Director also provides leadership across multiple clinical disciplines, including Nursing, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Counseling, Dietary Services, and other clinical supports throughout the organization.

We’re looking for a leader who can see the big picture, someone who can develop strong clinical teams, improve systems, navigate regulatory requirements, and ensure quality of care remains at the center of every decision.

The Opportunity

You’ll provide agency-wide clinical leadership with a focus on:

  • Providing leadership and oversight of OPWDD Nursing services across 25 residential IRAs and three site-based Day Habilitation programs
  • Overseeing and supporting clinical services within our Education programs
  • Providing leadership and oversight of the agency’s Article 16 Clinic
  • Developing and supporting clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strengthening quality, compliance, productivity, and accountability across clinical services
  • Leading Article 16 Clinic operations and supporting strategic growth
  • Ensuring strong clinical documentation, billing integrity, reimbursement practices, and audit readiness
  • Partnering with senior leadership and program teams to improve clinical and operational outcomes

Bring Your Experience

We’re seeking candidates with progressive management experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and one of the following:

Master’s Degree + 3 years of progressive management experience

OR

Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of progressive management experience

OR

Licensed Registered Nurse + 10 years of progressive management experience

Relevant degrees may include Nursing, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, Business, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a closely related field.

Strong knowledge of OPWDD, DOH, CMS, and SED requirements, EMR systems, clinical documentation, quality assurance, reimbursement/billing, productivity management, and audit readiness are also important.
