Job DetailsJob Location: WILLISTON, FL 32696Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 1st Shift Job Title Custom Fabricator Associate FLSA Class Non-Exempt Department Custom Fab Type Full-Time Reports To Group Manager – Custom Fab EEO-1 Class Operatives  Summary/Objective The Custom Fabricator Associate uses hand and power tools to correct defects, deburr parts, smooth and prepare surfaces and to polish product. Media blast parts as needed to ANCORP specifications. Wash, clean and de-grease final product by hand or with the use of automated cleaning equipment. Use turning lathes to open or trim parts to specified requirements. The Custom Fabricator Associate will also participate in 5-S projects, basic machine upkeep, and other duties.  Essential Functions Grind, sand, deburr, clean or polish parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools. Select proper tooling according to material, size, and shape of work pieces. Verify quality of finished work pieces by inspecting them and verifying they meet the established quality and finish standards established by the company or customer. Operate polishing machine(s). Including hand-held air tools, belt sanders, buffing wheels, and lathes. Open flanges or trim tubes on various lathes. Operate media (glass bead) blasting machine. Operate industrial parts washer. Utilize mechanical and electro-chemical polishing and cleaning equipment. Clean and perform basic maintenance on equipment daily. Ensure that work is performed in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for adhering to safety standards and company safety policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Informs maintenance or Floor Lead of equipment failures, breakdowns, or operational issues. Other duties as required.  Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Qualifications Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Educations and Experience High School Diploma, GED and/or Technical School Graduate. Minimum of 6 months experience working in a machine shop environment required. Minimum of 6 months experience polishing stainless steel and aluminum preferred.  Skills and Competencies Able to read, write, and have a working knowledge of English.  Must have basic math skills.
