CHI St. Alexius Health Williston proudly provides primary care, specialty care, family medicine, 3D mammography, orthopedics, neurology, and several other health services to our Williston community.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our HIM Clerk at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston, you will help our clinical team and providers manage accurate patient data so they can deliver seamless, high-quality care to our patients.

 

Every day you will digitize, organize, and secure patient medical records within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. You will be expected to retrieve requested records for clinical staff, audit files for completeness, resolve duplicate records, and manage the flow of all departmental correspondence and mail.

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of HIPAA regulations, and the technical proficiency to manage sensitive health information with complete confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Scan medical records into the electronic medical records (EMR) system according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, organize, and safeguard patient medical records and other correspondence in accordance with HIPAA and organizational polices.
  • Retrieve and provide medical records to providers and clinical staff as needed to support patient care.
  • Identify and correct duplicate or incomplete patient records following established procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling all patient health information
  • Manage the flow of interdepartmental, outgoing, and incoming mail.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED 

Preferred

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, upon hire
