Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement, the Continuous Improvement Liaison supports the local deployment of Operational Excellence practices within an assigned site, department, or value stream. The role strengthens daily management, KPI visibility, structured problem solving, escalation discipline, and corrective action follow-through. This position helps translate operational performance gaps into clear actions, supports leaders in sustaining improvement routines, and ensures continuous improvement activity is connected to measurable business results.

Main responsibilities:

• Serve as the local point of contact for Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement activities within the assigned site, department, or value stream.

• Support daily management routines, Andon systems, escalation processes, performance boards, and structured response mechanisms.

• Maintain KPI tracking tools, action registers, improvement boards, and other visual management systems that support local performance visibility.

• Coordinate improvement activities across departments and ensure disciplined follow-up on action owners, due dates, barriers, and completion status.

 • Analyze monthly KPI performance to identify trends, recurring issues, missed targets, and improvement opportunities. • Facilitate structured root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, fishbone diagrams, A3 thinking, and 8D methodology.

 • Lead or support 8D corrective action activities, including problem definition, containment, root cause validation, corrective action implementation, and effectiveness checks.

 • Conduct quarterly Gemba walks, operational walkthroughs, or process assessments to evaluate adherence to standards and identify improvement opportunities. • Support the rollout of transformation initiatives, Lean management systems, standard work, visual management practices, and local communication plans.

• Coordinate local training, communication, and coaching related to CI tools, KPI routines, escalation discipline, and basic problem solving.

• Escalate unresolved barriers to Project Leaders, functional managers, or the Transformation Office when local countermeasures are not sufficient.

• Collaborate with CI peers and operational leaders to share lessons learned, standardize practices, and sustain improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent experience of education and practical experience.

• Training in Lean fundamentals, 8D methodology, root cause analysis, or equivalent continuous improvement tools is preferred.

• Lean Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an asset.

• 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, quality, continuous improvement, industrial engineering, production supervision, or a related operational support function.

• Experience supporting improvement projects, corrective action processes, KPI reviews, daily management routines, or operational performance follow-up is preferred.
