N.C. Machinist A

We are currently looking for an N.C. Machinist to safely perform all turning, milling, drilling, boring, and threading operations on all multi-axis NC equipment in an acceptable manner within drawing tolerances while meeting production standards with minimal instruction.

Job Requirements:

• • A minimum 3 years’ experience on NC equipment of 4 or 5 axis with proven knowledge of NC formats and conventions, a strong knowledge of shop math, a strong knowledge of drawing conventions and a demonstrated ability to understand and operate various NC systems and controls.
  • Must also be able to use various inspection equipment necessary to ensure that work performed is within drawing tolerances. 
  • Must be able to tool prove new programs make edits in NC programs to enable job to go into production.
  • Must be able to maintain control of NC equipment in automatic mode, Manual Data Input (MDI) mode, or manual mode.

Description of work: 

• • Working from production orders, QCIs, drawings, and other written instructions the operator must be willing to operate any NC equipment to acceptable standards as assigned by management
    
  • Management will provide orientation on individual machine operation, as necessary.

  • May be called on to do minor upkeep and maintenance and report machine malfunctions or maintenance problems. 
  • Required to always maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Occasional medium to heavy effort may be required. 
  • Maybe required to have personal hand tools available as required for the job.
