Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI Williston Health, you will help a diverse patient population receive comprehensive and specialized care so they can recover effectively and return to optimal health.
Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of patients admitted to our unit. You will be expected to continuously monitor patient health, administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, provide crucial patient and family education, and document all care information accurately and completely.
To be successful in this role, you must possess keen assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, a patient-first mindset, and the enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Assess and continuously monitor patients to detect changes in symptoms or pain, taking timely action as necessary.
- Respond effectively to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
- Collaborate closely with providers to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments in full compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient care records, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
We are offering a $25,000 Sign-On Bonus until July 1st, 2026 to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse: North Dakota or compact RN license (RN:ND), Required Upon Hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Required Upon Hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Required within 6 months of start.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Required within 6 months of start.
