Underground Utility Crew – Water, Sewer & Storm (Bakken Operations)

We are currently seeking an experienced, hardworking Underground Utility Crew to handle the installation and maintenance of critical water, sewer, and storm services. This is a high-demand role for those who aren't afraid of long hours and thrive in a team-oriented construction environment.

Underground Utility Crew Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain underground water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Perform deep excavations and ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes using lasers and grade instruments.
• Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, backhoes, and trenchers, to bury utilities safely.
• Collaborate with a crew to dig trenches, lay pipe/conduit, backfill, and compact soil.
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and confined space entry procedures.

Underground Utility Crew Requirements and Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Driver's License with a clean record; CDL is preferred but not required.
• Proven Experience: Demonstrated history of installing water, sewer, and storm services.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with pipe lasers, line and grade, and fusion welding (HDPE experience is a plus).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor (digging, kneeling, crouching) in varying weather conditions.
• Safety Mindset: Knowledge of trench safety and underground utility locating.

Work Schedule:

• Hours: Must be willing to work long hours to meet project deadlines.
• Availability: Weekend work is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time with overtime
